Inspired by old maritime traverse boards, our round board features a precision laser engraved compass rose, 1/8 inch holes on a 3 track cribbage layout, and a back pocket for card and peg storage with custom leather strap.
Before electronic charts, satellites, or GPS, helmsmen braved the seas relying entirely on dead reckoning. To track their journey across a four-hour watch, they used a wooden tool known as a “traverse board.”
